Issues with Technology
One problem I have had is keeping track of the technology. Even though I thought I had very carefully counted all of the headphones, one set walked out of my room. (It was later returned by the student.) In order avoid that, I started counting/ recounting all of the equipment when I collect it and then again when I hand it to the next class. Needless to say, this takes a large amount of class time. I don't know a better way to do this, so a different idea would be great.
My Hardest Thing to Teach
I find that one of the hardest things to teach is science content vocabulary. I think I will use a combination of my desktop computers, iPads, and my Promethean board to do vocabulary review games. I will have the students working on the iPads use Doodle Buddies to draw examples of each of the terms. I will use the Promethean board for matching activities and the regular computers to play online vocabulary games.

Rip Van Winkle Were you "comfy" in my room?
I think Rip Van Winkle would have, unfortunately, felt very "comfy" in my room. I used some technology in my class, but I am not very good with or comfortable using it.
I have enjoyed INTERACT so far. I have learned a large amount of information and I am still trying to process it. I really would like to use Edmodo and or this bloggy with my students. The first day of school, I plan to ask all of my students what technology they have access to at home, so I will have a better idea what they will be able to use.
